You are
reading this one, the Hugo site, from the same desk now - but dtac.io was the one
that had an actual database in it. That made it the interesting one. This article
is the record of dragging a real, stateful web application off a rented VM and
onto the little cluster sitting next to my keyboard.

Welcome Home... To My Home - From Cloud To Self-Hosting

It started with this website here. For years this site sat on an AWS EC2 instance, with S3 hosting some images. It cost around $4/mo so it wasn’t much. But I got to thinking about it. Within that year I could have paid for a little machine. With about 10X the power. Literally. And it was even more than that. It was remote, and static, and hard to update, which meant it was stale. As you can see by the posts it was very stale. Then we start expanding that math to the bigger sites I had. Then it hit me pretty hard. I’m just burning money.

How an AI Coding Agent Rebuilt This Site

The bottom line

This site was rebuilt by an AI coding agent, and this page is the part of that
job most people do not see. Below is not just what happened. It is also the
boring, nerdy underneath: what the model is, how the work is measured, what
tokens, wall time, and effort actually mean, and why a human would even bother.

That is the part an SEO crawler will eat up, and the part a curious engineer
will actually enjoy.

Site Redesign: Out With the Bootstrap 3 Theme

Site Redesign 2026

TL;DR

The site has a new visual theme. Biometrics authentication (or realistic authentication) is used in computer science as a form of identification and access control

Let the conspiracy theories abound. Actually most of the worries before are no longer theories. The capabilities of the biometric tools now are such that the human mind may no longer be the master of the visual recognition spectrum. Many intelligent people have opined on the causes of war over the years with few coming up with ideas and zero defining concrete solutions to those problems. The best we have come up with is “humane” ways to conduct war. We dip in and out of periods of peace, but as a collective species, we are unable to build a system that can sustain peace indefinitely and have instead just assumed that man’s natural state is that of war.

A Weed Delivery Service

Delivery Service

About 6 months ago I decided to take on the task of building a delivery app for the cannabis industry. And possibly, to leverage these technologies to enhance place of work culture.

What Companies Do Not Understand About Employing for Data Scientist

What Companies Do Not Understand About Employing for Data Scientist

Within The Data Incubator, I’ve spoken to hundreds of companies searching to make use of the expertise of data scientists - particularly people with advanced levels. Right down the street actually.

General Lee-Anne 001

Here we go.

1969 hugger orange rust bucket.

This thing barely stops. It stops when it wants to. So it’s kinda like a woman. Every bushing and joint is shot. Probably never replaced a thing on it.

And the adventure begins. I’m using this truck as the first in my branded line of modified restorations. Our focus for these trucks is somewhere in between utility and aesthetics. Not just a mall crawler but something of a useful truck that also gets attention. I will be formulating various levels of offerings so that we can set our branded restorations. We can go all the way or just get it back to top mechanical levels and clean of rust.

Data Mining to Strengthen Border Security

Zettafox, a privately owned consultancy, is focusing on a method to mine big data to assist border security officials gauge the risk factor of visitors, a vital area following recent deadly assaults in Brussels and Paris by Islamic State attackers.

A grave concern on frontier control has risen as attackers entered national edges before staging explosive device attacks that left dozens dead in the heart of the two European capitals.

Jill Cataldo: What An Expert is Saying About Data Mining and Shopping

When you buy online, make use of a stores loyalty program, print a coupon or perhaps pay with your credit card, your personal date has been mined.
